Every year, peppers dominate the garden beds in all the colors of the rainbow. The seeds need to be of high quality to achieve good results. This is one of the most popular crops. Choosing the right variety determines not only the yield, but also the taste, shape, and even the colors of the fruits. Did you know that some varieties of hot peppers can reach over 1 million units on the Scoville scale? And sweet peppers contain more vitamin C than citrus fruits.

How to grow peppers: soak the seeds or not
Soaking pepper seeds before planting is a simple but effective way to speed up germination. Many experienced gardeners recommend soaking the seeds in water for 12-24 hours, or even better – in a growth stimulant. This helps soften the hard shell and activates biological processes inside the seed. However, some hybrids have already undergone special treatment by the manufacturer, so they can be planted dry. Pepper seeds from WestGard have undergone pre-sowing treatment and have also been tested for similarity.
It is important not to overdo the soaking, otherwise the seeds may rot. The optimal water temperature is 25-28°C. After soaking, it is better to dry the seeds to a powdery state. If you don’t have time to soak, be sure to moisten the soil well before sowing. This compensates for the lack of pre-soaking.
