Grounds for unscheduled inspections may include complaints from employees about violations of labor legislation, reports of harm to health or safety, accidents at work, or failure to comply with previously issued prescriptions.

The duration of an unscheduled inspection cannot exceed 10 working days, and for small businesses – 2 working days. Before the inspection begins, representatives of the State Labor Service must present an inspection order and an official identification.

It is better to comply with all legal requirements in advance than to later pay large fines, advised the expert.
