The cost of pork and chicken, an integral part of the diet of many Ukrainians, fluctuates significantly depending on the store, writes agronews.ua.

An analysis of pork prices shows a predominant increase compared to April 2025. For example, pork belly currently costs an average of 211.45 UAH per kilogram, while in April its average price was 201.52 UAH.
The most affordable pork belly can be purchased at Auchan for 199.90 UAH. Pork shoulder has also become more expensive: its average price has risen from 211.81 UAH in April to 226.97 UAH now, with the lowest price found at Metro – 217.90 UAH.
The most noticeable increase in price is for pork neck: its average cost has risen from 300.37 UAH to 330.53 UAH per kilogram; the cheapest offer is from Novus at 319.00 UAH.
A similar trend is observed with pork belly, whose average price has increased from 199.56 UAH to 214.00 UAH, and ribs, which have gone up from 200.38 UAH to 214.00 UAH. In both cases, Novus offers the lowest price – 199.00 UAH per kilogram.
Even pork for shish kebabs, which in April cost an average of 253.55 UAH, now amounts to 263.50 UAH. The most advantageous offer for shish kebab meat is at Novus for 199.00 UAH, while at Metro the price reaches 327.50 UAH.
As for chicken, here too there is a predominantly upward trend in prices. Chicken thigh on average costs 124.67 UAH, higher than the April figure of 117.12 UAH; the cheapest can be found at Novus for 119.00 UAH.
Chicken drumstick has increased from 86.17 UAH to 94.50 UAH on average, with Novus offering it for 79.99 UAH.
A whole chicken carcass now costs an average of 106.00 UAH compared to 97.92 UAH in April, with the lowest price at 96.99 UAH at Novus. The popular chicken fillet has also increased in price from 188.40 UAH to 200.97 UAH, with the best offer at Auchan – 184.90 UAH.
