In 2025, there is an increase in pensions for Ukrainians. Despite the fact that the minimum wage and subsistence minimum have not changed, pensions have increased due to the indexation of payments carried out in March, agronews.ua reports.

Changes to the allowances to minimum pensions for citizens were made as of March 1, 2025, based on the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance.”
According to Cabinet Resolution No. 209, the amount of such allowances was reviewed and increased. The resolution provides for the indexation of pensions and insurance payments, additional measures to increase social protection for the most vulnerable population groups.
The changes apply to the following categories of pensioners:
– Those aged 65 with a full insurance record (30 years for women, 35 for men) who are not working will now receive 3,758 UAH instead of 3,370 UAH. An increase of 388 UAH.
– Up to 70 years with a full record, as well as pensioners with a disability of group I (regardless of age and record) – 3,323 UAH instead of 2,980 UAH (+343 UAH).
– From 70 to 80 years with a record of 20 years for women and 25 for men will now receive 3,613 UAH instead of 3,240 UAH (+373 UAH).
– Those aged 80 and over with a full insurance record – like 65-year-olds – will receive 3,758 UAH instead of 3,370 UAH (+388 UAH).
– Non-working individuals with a minimum pension will now receive 3,038 UAH (previously 2,725 UAH), and working individuals – 2,361 UAH.
When determining the amounts of minimum payments, a number of factors were taken into account: age, existing insurance record, and the pensioner’s employment status. All of this affects the amount of the allowance.
In addition to the age categories listed, the accruals were extended for pensioners aged 70 and older:
– Up to 300 UAH – for pensioners aged 70-75.
– Up to 456 UAH – for citizens aged 75-80.
– Up to 570 UAH – for individuals aged 80 and older.
These supplements can only be received under one important condition – the person’s pension should not exceed 10,340.35 UAH.
