More than just mechanical processing
Modern agriculture faces challenges such as limited soil permeability, climate change, and the need to reduce costs without harming crop yields. In such conditions, inter-row processing is a key agronomic operation. The BEDNAR ROW-MASTER inter-row cultivator provides targeted inter-row processing that not only eliminates weeds but also disrupts soil crust, improves root system aeration, and helps conserve moisture in dry periods.
These operations directly impact plant viability. Roots receive more oxygen and water, allowing them to better withstand stressful growth conditions. At the same time, moisture loss through evaporation is reduced, chemical protection dependence is significantly decreased, reducing costs and positively impacting the environment.
Precision that every field will appreciate
Each crop differs in inter-row spacing and planting density. Processing is done after rain or during dry periods. ROW-MASTER is ready for all these conditions. Thanks to its variable working sections, it can adapt to the current field conditions and plant growth stage. The strong frame combined with maintenance-free attachment of working elements ensures a long service life even in challenging conditions.
These cultivators are available in various working widths and configurations, including the RN_S model specialized for sugar beets. Sugar beets with low initial growth require precise cultivator navigation, and here ROW-MASTER equipped with the CultiCam automatic guidance system demonstrates its advantages.
Technology that sees for you
The automated CultiCam navigation camera is literally the “eyes” of the cultivator. It tracks crop rows and allows precise guidance of the unit even in very early stages of vegetation – for example, when a sugar beet has only two true leaves.
In the ROW-MASTER RN_PROFI version, the guidance system includes sectional control of each working section. Based on guidance system data, individual working elements automatically raise or lower as needed. This intelligent system eliminates the risk of weed skips and significantly eases the operator’s work, allowing them to focus on the unit’s productivity rather than manual adjustments. With precise control of each section, ROW-MASTER RN_PROFI operates effectively even in challenging conditions – in darkness, fog, or during a long working day.
With individual working section lift heights of up to 45 centimeters, there is sufficient space for safe maneuvering and precise work even in dense plantings. The result is higher productivity, fewer errors, and maximum utilization of each hectare’s potential.
The operator can focus on productivity without risking crop damage. Ultimately, smoother operation, higher speed, and overall better processing results.
Which working elements to choose for effective work?
• Tines are ideal for cutting weeds in loose and moist soil – they work with a wider working width, effectively disrupting the top layer and mechanically destroying weeds. However, on hard, dry soil, depth retention may be a problem, and loosening efficiency decreases.
• Shares are suitable for deeper loosening, breaking up soil crust between rows, and applying fertilizers. Although less effective in weed control, they have an advantage in processing soils with different structures.
Results from practice
Experience from farms that have implemented ROW-MASTER in their processing technology confirms a significant improvement in crop health. The root system is stronger, plants better absorb nutrients, and the results are noticeable during harvest.
