During the first week of the current year, there was a noticeable increase in the daily unloading of grain wagons at the ports of Odessa. This was reported by the deputy director of the Department of Transport Technology and Commercial Operations of Ukrzaliznytsia, Valeriy Tkachov, according to agronews.ua.

“The average daily unloading rate of wagons at the ports of Odessa as of January 8 was 1242 units per day. Compared to December 25, this figure increased by 289 wagons,” he specified.
At the same time, the number of grain wagons moving towards these ports decreased even more significantly – over 2 weeks, this indicator decreased by 2410 units to 9,246 units. The average daily loading of wagons on the network towards the ports of Odessa also slightly decreased during this period – by 88 wagons to 989 wagons per day.
Additionally, V. Tkachov added that the number of grain wagons moving towards the ports of the Danube increased by 54 units over the last two weeks and is estimated at 86 wagons. The average daily unloading rate of grain as of January 8 was 12 wagons per day, and over two weeks, this figure decreased by 10 wagons.
