About the AGRO Program:
The AGRO Program, funded by the US Government and implemented by Chemonics International, supports the transformation of Ukraine’s agricultural sector into a more modern, market-oriented, and sustainable industry. AGRO strengthens agricultural market systems, facilitates access to financing for farmers, and creates a favorable legal environment for small and medium-sized agricultural producers (SMEs) to accelerate the economic development of rural communities in Ukraine. After the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022, the AGRO Program focused its activities on preserving and restoring the economic activity of farmers, restoring sales channels, and ensuring food security in Ukraine and globally. The AGRO Program strengthens Ukraine’s agricultural sector while supporting US strategic, economic, and geopolitical interests. AGRO views the agricultural market as a complex interconnected system, involving American companies, technology suppliers, universities, and investors in the modernization of the Ukrainian agricultural sector. This stimulates demand for equipment, resources, and digital solutions from the US while enhancing the resilience of Ukraine’s economy.
